Founded in 1925, Hospicio de San Jose is Cebu's first elderly care facility, generously donated by philanthropists Don Pedro Cui and Benigna Cui. Located on a two-hectare property in barangay Guibuangan, it showcases American period architectural influence, representing decades of service to the elderly in Barili.[2]
